Microblading FAQs

Microblading Frequently asked Questions

Is it permanent

No, microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure. A licensed artist creates hairlike strokes to create natural looking brow. Due to the hand held tool only cutting the first epidermis layers of the skin, the results will last an average of 6-10 months. With most clients returning annually for touch ups.

The treatment will fade over time. Touch up is required 6-8 weeks after initial procedure for full results.

*Please note: Frequency in touch ups have various factors; sun exposer, skin type, chemical peels, how active the client is, etc. The final results and time can not be guaranteed due to each individuals skins ability to hold pigment.

How is it done?

Once the desired brow is mapped out and drawn, a mircoblading tool will be used to hand cut delicate hair-like strokes into the skin for the pigment to absorb, creating realistic natural hair stroke brows!

Does it hurt?

Topical anesthetic cream and gel is applied before and during the procedure for comfort. Because of the word blade, many people worry the procedure will hurt. In truth, it’s less painful than a regular tattoo. Due to it only penetrating the first layer of skin, opposed to a regular tattoo going through 3 layers. People describe the sensation as a little more painful than waxing or plucking.

Please note women tend to experience a higher sensitivity during menstrual cycle .

What if I’ve had a previous tattoo or Microblading previously with another artist?

Aftercare

Instructions

A few hours after your appointment, wash your brows with the aftercare soap provided. Remember its an open cut, always wash your hands before touching your fresh new brows! Don’t submerge them in water for 10 days. Wash outside the shower to ensure they wont submerge.

Use a pea size amount of the soap provided and gently wash in the direction of the hair. Lightly swipe

Rinse thoroughly. Cup your hands with water and rinse

Pat dry with a clean cloth. A clean paper towel is recommended

Apply the provided balm. A rice grain amount is enough for both sides

For a few hours after your appointment blot your brows with a clean tissue. If the oozing dries on the brows it creates scabs. You will scab and flake anyway (this is a normal part of the healing process) but this will minimize the effect.

Follow the washing directions above morning and night for 10 days.

Do not get them wet other than gently washing outside the shower. This includes showering, baths, sweating, sauna, steam room, hot yoga, hot tub, etc.

No direct sunlight for 2 weeks. Hats or big sunglasses that cover them will help.

NO MAKEUP, LOTIONS, FACE WASH, SERUMS, SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, ETC. should touch your eyebrows for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, avoid products that include anti-aging ingredients

No picking or scratching at the scabs. Do NOT sleep on face
